I also prefer the easy, swivel up bullet application of a lipstick as opposed to the doe-foot applicator of a lipgloss because whipping that out in public just reminds me of the scenes in movies where the mean girls are applying their makeup in the bathroom.

I can see why many people love these lip glosses. The formula is really smooth and opaque. One swipe delivers impressive pigmentation (see swatches above). Like their name, they definitely are mega shiny and glossy - you can even see their shine in the swatch!
I wasn't surprised to feel a slight tackiness on the lips when wearing these but it's not too sticky like other lipglosses can be. In fact, they do feel quite creamy on the lips.

Natural is like it's name suggests, a very natural looking colour. It is a beige-pink that I can see a lot of people pulling off.
'FRENCH KISS'
French Kiss is extremely frosty. It's a medium pink but I can't even tell if it has some other undertones because it's so frosty. Can you see the frost and pearly shine it has?
Overall, I do think these are good lipglosses but I still prefer my lipsticks. I would wear Natural but I would not recommend French Kiss because it is just too frosty for everyday wear in my opinion.

I have the cult shade Beige and I had super high hopes for it but it totally let me down! I don't know if it's just my tube but it is actually really sticky and thick and wears off really badly. Not a huge fan and I definitely prefer the Butter glosses and Witcher lip gloss wands!

ReplyDeleteI like Natural as I tend to avoid frosty finish lipsticks at all costs :p Never tried NYX lipsticks but they definitely seem to get the thumbs up from lots of bloggers!
ReplyDeleteI actually like the French Kiss more than the Natural. Maybe that's just me. :D I don't know if it would look good on me though, some shimmery lipsticks doesn't look good on me. But it looks really nice on you. :)
