Revlon Lip Butter in 'Juicy Papaya'

Recently, there were 4 new Revlon Lip Butter shades released in Australia (the same shades which were out in America few seasons ago). They're available at the same price of $21.95 (which I still grumble about from time to time).

Being a Revlon lip butter collector, I had to check them out. Only one shade appealed to me at that time but knowing me, I'll probably pick up more in the future. The others look like fun, Summer shades!

The one that caught my eye was the Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya.

I think we've already established in previous favorites posts that I love the formula of the Revlon lip butters. I'm all for the moisturising, balm-lipstick hybrid lip products that are everywhere now. I also love the Maybelline color whispers (which these are comparable to).

Although I already own a lot of peachy pinks, Juicy Papaya looked like a deeper peach. And you can never have enough peachy pinks right? Oh the justifications I give myself when buying makeup...

It is on the sheer side, like a lot of the not-as-dark Revlon lip butters but it still shows up somewhat on my lips and I love the glossiness.

I expected a darker peach shade but I think there is more pink in it than peach.

BARE LIPS

WEARING JUICY PAPAYA

Although it is a colour that I like, the colour translates to be very typical on my lips, and reminiscent of other lippies in my collection.

xoxo,
Sheri

(By the way, does anyone think their lips look ugly in lip swatches?)

  1. Thanks for the review! I definitely like the shade and I've swatched it instore but I'm on the fence whether of not to get it! I don't think I have any lippies really similar, but I definitely won't be paying full price. We'll see!

  5. I really love the shade, adds an overall stronger orange pink boost to your lips! I love how they are so glossy and moisturizing. I'm okay with lacking of pigmentation!

  6. Such a pretty shade, but I agree that I was expecting a little more from the swatch... however I am the only person on the planet not in love with the Lip Butters. (;

  9. This looks so pretty against your skin tone! It makes it look so healthy and lively! Is there any shimmer in this? I know that some of them don't look shimmery in photos, but when I go to see them in store is glitter overload!
