NEW ADDITIONS

new beauty additions makeup review blog

Some of you may remember when I used to make Youtube videos... ahh the memories of looking socially awkward and trying too hard to be entertaining. I didn't realize that I had actually earned enough through ads to cash out, so with a heavier wallet (YAY), I did what any normal girl would do. I went a bit cray with online shopping. I've also received a couple of stuff in the mail, so it's time to give you the low-down of some new things I've been trying.

The Innoxa Skin Perfecting Pore Vanishing Cream is a recent favourite. For one, it's TINTED. A tinted primer, say whaat?! It actually has decent coverage and some days, I just wear this by itself. How weird is that - wearing a primer as my only base! Because it's tinted, it actually does cover my pores and leaves my skin feeling smooth and silky for foundation.

On top of that, I've been pleasantly surprised by the ELF Zit Zapping Concealer*. Just the name alone screams GIMMICK but it actually works! The green shade works surprisingly well at hiding redness, making acne and other horrendous facial defilements easier to conceal. Normally, I FAIL at using colour-correcting concealers (hello Shrek!) but I get along with this one just fine.

MAC's Syrup was 100% enabled by Celina aka my blogger girl crush. I also had an ebay voucher so I got it for $20 - score! It's a pretty, yup I'm going to say it, my-lips-but-better shade, with some berry tones to it. LOVE.

It must be because it's winter now, but my lips could be the next advertisement for cornflakes. GEDDIT? Seriously, they have never been THIS FLAKY. It's like a snake moulting (ain't that lovely imagery). The ELF Lip Exfoliator* is super gritty but so effective at scrubbing off the dead skin. Warning: Do not go overboard or you'll end up with a bleeding mouth *cough* not speaking from experience or anything.

In other news, I found the Maybelline Color Elixir in Signature Scarlet for $7 in the glorious clearance section, so of course I had to snap it up. It's sheer, but stunning nonetheless. A nice, low-maintenance red lip.
