My Mascara Collection

Hello beauties~

Today I present to you my pathetic mascara "collection" (if you can even call it that).
I hardly wear mascara as not many work on my short, straight lashes weighed down by my monolids.
I have 5 in my possession, as of the present moment.

I will be going in order of when I owned these mascaras.
First up!

Covergirl Lash Exact

The plastic bristles really separate and define my lashes. It gives some length but not much volume, in my opinion. It doesn't really hold a curl but it doesn't smudge! Mine's all dried up from being 2 years old, I really should chuck it :P

Essence No Limits Volume Waterproof

This mascara has been discontinued. It has quite a big wand, and a super wet formula which my lashes despise as it weighs them down. It's so wet that it takes ages to dry and will smudge onto your lower lash line. It volumizes but clumps as it's so wet. Probably the wettest mascara I've come across.

Maxfactor Xperience Volumising

Similar to the Covergirl Lash Exact. Plastic bristles that really defined and helped to lengthen my lashes. Curl-holding power sucks though. Doesn't smudge or clump and only flakes a little bit at the end of the day.

Rimmel The Max Volume Flash

The formula is leaning more towards the wet side but it doesn't smudge or clump much. Lengthens and volumizes really nicely and holds a curl decently. It does flake at the end of the day. I quite liked this one :)

Lastly... my favourite mascara at the moment...

dun dun dun.

Maybelline Falsies (waterproof)!

The awkward moment when a mascara wand has more curves than you... Jokes jokes haha.
I feel the curved wand really helps to lift my lashes. It volumizes really nicely and HOLDS A CURL LIKE A BOSS. I underlined that for emphasis. Maybe because it's waterproof? And I mean waterproof, it's still there the next day. You can actually see my lashes kindof when I wear this. Love!

Any mascara recommendations for me?
xoxo,
Sheri

  1. I haven't tried any of these mascaras except the Falsies but the non-waterproof version which I like! Its formula was really wet but after a bit of time it dried a bit and worked like a charm! How I hate wet formulas too! They weigh down our Asian lashes making them sad and droopy :(

  2. I think I need to try the Falsies for real now :p I can understand your pain having monolids and not exactly naturally glamorous lashes. We need all the help we can get :)

  3. You have a great selection of mascaras! I'm not that intrigued by mascaras either because my eyelashes are quite short and suborn. I only have a couple as well, but the falsies is definitely my favourite! x

  5. Everyone loves the falsies! I've bought 2 recently but both for gifts! I have too many mascaras that I need to use up atm but when I'm done I'll be getting one for sure!
