My 5 Favourite Foundations

If you saw me in real life, chances are, all I'll be wearing is foundation (and er, clothes hopefully). It's the sad truth that all I need is a good base so I can walk out the door with the self-confidence and assurance that I don't become known as "the walking zombie that looks like it's also got the measles". No exaggeration needed. I've grown attached to quite a number of foundations that have been absolute life savers, which I've no doubt already preached about on this blog. Now that we've established that I'm involved in some sort of polygamy with my foundations, here's a round up of the ones that I've been in love with.

Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation in Crystal Beige*
Ladies and gents, meet my favourite liquid foundation... for the simple reason that the colour match is just so on point. Do you know how flippin' hard it is to find a cool-toned, yellow foundation that is also unbelievably LIGHT? But hallelujah, the search is finally over. Of course, this also offers medium coverage for the pesky spots that have invaded my space and wears well for at least 6 hours.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation in Buff Beige
Did you notice the striking resemblance between this foundation and the Max Factor Facefinity? Packaging is identical, and the formula sure feels the same - thin consistency, medium coverage and matte finishes.  No surprises there since both brands are from the same company!
In all honesty, if you're looking for a good medium coverage foundation, you can save yourself 10 bucks and get the Covergirl version. The only con is the shade range and Buff Beige does not match me *le sigh*.

Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation in Fair*
Another ace foundation. Good coverage, satin finish and decently long-wearing, but at a higher price point (~$56). Colour match is also excellent so naturally this is also one of my daily essentials.

Arbonne Got You Covered Mineral Powder Foundation in Light Ivory*
Arbonne really knows how to do it right with their bases. It still blows my mind that this drug-resembling, fine powder can offer such smooth, amazing coverage. If you're looking to achieve natural-looking flawless skin that feels absolutely weightless, this is your guy.

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Foundation in Buff
I feel a bit sorry as I haven't mentioned this product in awhile but don't worry Revlon, I didn't forget about you! The finish isn't the most natural, as it is very thick but it offers really good coverage. I like to bust this one out when my skin needs some work (which is all the time *sobs*). The staying power is also impressive, and it's always a good thing when your spots stay under wraps for the whole day right?
