Luminesce Essential Body Renewal [Review]

Raise your hand if you suffer from dry, almost scaly-looking skin that resembles a reptile!

I know I do, ESPECIALLY during Winter, which is the current weather situation here in Australia. So I'm always searching for a good body moisturiser that will keep me hydrated.

Today I'll be reviewing the LUMINESCE Essential Body Renewal by the brand Jeunesse Global

Let's just take a moment to admire the tall, sleek grey-silver packaging.

The way the product is dispensed is GENIUS.
It comes with a round top that has a hole in it, and you twist the cap up and white liquid seeps out through the hole. (*cough* I'm so mature.)

The Luminesce Essential Body Renewal claims to deliver "ultimate in deep hydration", "help boost collagen formation, improve skin elasticity, and protect against the signs of premature ageing".

Sure sounds good doesn't it? In terms of fighting premature ageing, I think prevention is always good and it's never too early!

I've been applying this after I shower and in the night, on my legs and arms because my skin tends to get really dry in those areas. My legs seriously resemble SPIDERWEBS when they're lacking moisture.

I like how it doesn't just sit on the skin and it's absorbed quickly, leaving the skin feeling smooth, soft and not sticky

Usually, "intensely moisturising" moisturisers are thick and greasy so I really appreciate that this one is lightweight, yet packs a punch of moisture.

My skin seems to lock in the moisture for quite some time so I don't have to reapply constantly which I like!

It also has a really pleasant smell that's relatively strong but it doesn't linger for long.

This product is also non-comedogenic, silicone-free and contains no artificial fragrance.

The only downside of this product is that it's pretty pricey, you can check out the exact product and price here .

But I think if you wanted to treat yourself or a friend or maybe your mum, this would be a nice gift.

  1. Lovely product!
I love how you used the rocky/pebble ground as the background!

  2. I love the packaging of this! And it's so great that there are a lot more moisturisers out there now that are non-greasy. Thanks for the review!

  5. Thanks - I also use and really love this product. The "naturalness" of the list of ingredients on the back blows me away. I also buy direct from the company via their website, and I get this at wholesale (great secret for those who want to save and try the whole skin-care line).

As for your challenges with the cap and leaking - this cap is a brilliant invention that makes dispensing really easy and clean. I just suggest that when done, you turn the cap back a quarter click until you hear and feel the "click", and then even if you squeeze as hard as you can, nothing comes out! (*cough* :-)

    1. Thanks Chris!
This whole time I thought I was closing it properly but turns out I didn't turn it until I heard the click. It doesn't leak now, thanks! :D

  6. The product itself sounds good but not being able to stand it up without having it leaking would be a major turn-off/nuisance for me. Thanks for the review!
