MAD FOR LIP BALMS

top lip balms

You know what is a very serious problem in today's society? Lip Balm Withdrawal Symptoms. YES IT'S A REAL THING. Signs of withdrawal include - constantly feeling like you're eating sandpaper, clawing at your lips, compulsively peeling off lip flakes, and crying after you put on lipstick. If you took a look inside my bag (don't, because you'll be scarred), you'd just see a free flow of lip balms everywhere. It's safe to say that I can't live without them.

EOS Lip Balms
This is kinda awkward because even though I love mah lip balms, I don't use a huge variety. In fact, the above photo LOOKS like a lot of products, but it's mainly just EOS lip balms #sorrynotsorry. Funny thing is, these aren't even that moisturizing, but they're good enough for every day wear. I like using them in the morning when I don't want a heavy balm on, because... have you tried putting lipstick over a thick balm?! It's like putting paint over a pool of water and it's a mission to get the colour to stay put. My favourite flavour is probably 'Honeysuckle Honeydew' because it TASTES LIKE PURE SWEET YUMMINESS *licks lips*.

Live Beautifully Lip Balms*
In an effort to branch out from my EOS babies, I got the chance to try some gorgeous lip products from an Etsy shop called 'Live Beautifully'. My personal favourites are the Dreamsicle Creamsicle Lip Balm Tin and their Whipped Lip Butter. They absorb so easily and are really hydrating. The texture of the whipped lip butter is really interesting - it feels like you're SPREADING SNOW on your lips and it's dee-lite-fool.
Note: if you like all things vanilla-citrusy, you'd LOVE this flavour. If not, they have so many other yummy-sounding flavours, that I legit want to eat them all.

Korres Lip Butters
I know there's mixed feelings about these, and some people are not a fan of how they're just a thick layer that sits on top of your lips but I like applying a normal lip balm underneath, and then slathering this paste-y stuff on top. It really seals the moisture in and I wake up with luscious lips (you can put em to the test *suggestive wink* wow Sheri, so smooth.)
I personally don't use these for day-wear as the shade 'Jasmine' can make you look like you've been making out with a snowman, if you know what I mean.
