FARE THEE WELL, EMPTIES!

empties products i've finished up review blog

Collecting empties have become such a routine that I may have kinda forgot about the bag that was accumulating junk for uh, 5 months or so? But finally, I have conquered procrastination and here we are folks! Cheers to me, my consumerism and being able to finish up 5 months worth of stuff. By the way, does it give anyone else GREAT SATISFACTION to hear the sound of all the products falling down the bin? (Don't worry folks, I recycle *wink*)

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation (100 Ivory)

I'm going to be brutally honest here - horrible foundation on me. It offered no coverage and "100 ivory" is actually a joke. It's more like the colour of the tube, like since when did ivory = orange?? At least they've reformulated it and brought out a better one (I think).

Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream (Light to Medium)*
Argh CURSE MY BAD SKIN because this legit offered close to no coverage. But if you want a tinted moisturizer, I suppose this would work well? It does smell fresh lol (hence the name).

L'oreal Nude Magique BB Cream (Medium)
Err, the bashing of bases continues (that alliteration though). I really should just quit the BB cream bandwagon, because clearly we don't get along. This one is suppose to adjust to your skin tone, and while it does provide some natural-looking coverage, the colour match was just a FAIL.

Trilogy Rosehip Oil
MAH BAEEEEE. I swear by this stuff! You'd think all rosehip oil would be the same, but for some reason, I just find the Trilogy one works the best! It really helps to keep my skin soft and fades acne scars. I'm currently getting through two more bottles of other rosehip oils but when I'm done, I'll be running back to my beloved Trilogy.

ECO. Pure Rosehip Oil*
This would probably be my second (or third... I really can't pick) favourite rosehip oil after Trilogy's. It's light, absorbs quickly and doesn't tint my skin orange like some other pigmented rosehip oils.

Max Factor Xperience Volumising Mascara
Finally, finallyyyy this mascara is completely dried and gone. I've had this for 6 years NO JOKE and it was making my eyes feel itchy (lol what did you expect). It was okay, didn't do much in the volumising department though.

Rexona Hypo-allergenic Roll-on Deodorant
GUYS, I HAD AN EPIPHANY THIS WEEK. I realized that 'deodorant' was literally de-ODOUR-ant... *cricket sounds* Anyways, I never have a great experience with roll-on deodorants, they just don't seem to do anything. My favourite deodorant is the Nivea Stress Protect Anti-Perspirant. Apparently, Anti-perspirant and deodorants are different though??

Phytolene Multi Pre-cleanse
This is probably my favourite makeup remover! It's really effective, gentle and one of the few removers that leave my face feeling fresh and clean. It's pricey and not even available in Australia, but I always make sure to grab a bottle in Singapore.

The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing Serum
I'm not a big hair product girl, but whenever I wash my hair, I run a bit of this serum through it and it always leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth the next day. It's been repurchased many times now and I love love love it.

Clearasil Rapid Action Gel Wash
I actually really liked this. It's gentle, yet dries out your spots a bit and I would recommend it for those with oily, blemished skin especially!

Unico Sensitive Shampoo*
I've had this for YONKS now and finally finished it up. I've got dandruff (TMI?) and my head constantly produces scalp flakes (gosh that sounds like a cereal) and I do think this helped at reducing the itchiness. It's got a weird, disinfectant sort of smell though.

Cedel Dry Shampoo*
Dudes, I think this is one of the best dry shampoos I've tried. Normally, dry shampoo just makes my hair feel stiff and even more gross than it was before but this actually made my third-day hair FEEL much cleaner. Thumbs up!

Lush American Cream Hair Conditioner
Aaahh I loved this stuff. It worked great at smoothing out my hair and making it feel thick and healthy. Rather than the vanilla scent they describe it with, it smelled more of lavender to me and I really am not a fan of the scent but other than that, I would consider repurchasing (if I felt rich enough sigh.. the price of Lush people's hand-made labour)

Baylis & Harding Lemon Blossom & White Rose Hand Lotion*
You may recall me mentioning this as my favourite hand cream numerous times. In fact, a lot of you commented on how incredible "lemon blossom and white rose" must smell like.... and you are correct! It smells AHMAZING and I'm super sad that I used this all up. My hands will never smell the same again *sobs*

Burt's Bees Shea Hand Repair Cream*
On another note, the Burt's Bees Hand Cream STANK. I am not kidding, this has the most repulsive smell, I can't even put a finger on what it is, but I couldn't even stand to use it.

Nivea Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia
UGH, this smells like sweet sugary candy crush goodness. I loved slathering this onto my lips and while it doesn't really ABSORB into the lips per se, it was still moisturizing in my opinion. And by that I mean, it smelled too good for me to care.

Cetaphil Ultra Hydrating Lotion
While I do think this is a nice gentle, basic moisturizer, I found it actually a bit too thick. MY PORES COULD NOT HANDLE. I don't know, it just felt a bit heavy, even for my dry skin. I prefer moisturizers that are hydrating but thin at the same time like the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra.

Nivea In-Shower Skin Conditioner for Very Dry Skin
Yeahhh not much 'conditioning' is going to happen if you wash it off 5 minutes later... This SORT OF left my skin feeling soft? The effect didn't last long and it was more like a film of lotion on top of my body. Not the best, but not the worst product either.

Luminesce Essential Body Renewal*
I really enjoyed using this as a body moisturizer. It was thick and rich and worked well. I would repurchase it if it wasn't for the price #cheapskate101.

Phew that was a long one! A pat on the back if you made it through.
