What I've been loving in August!

Another month has flown by and Christmas is quickly approaching. I'm too overwhelmed to say anymore so let's begin with the usual faves of the past month!

First up, for zee face:

Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder

This is a well-loved product in the Aussie community. I finally finished up my previous pressed powder of 3 years (is that even legal?) and was so impressed when I tried this. It feels silky smooth, has great coverage and makes you look flawless!

Maybelline Metals Color Tattoo  in Barely Branded

I love the creaminess of these Metals one. I totally disregard the original collection; just too solid for my liking. Barely Branded is a gorgeous light champagne, and I love wearing light-reflective colours that are close to my skintone on my eyelids to brighten up the area.
I've been enjoying pairing this as a base with the...

Arbonne eyeshadow in Linen

I didn't get around to reviewing the Arbonne single eyeshadows (I know, shame on me) so here's a mini review! The formula of these are soft and smooth, not chalky at all. For a light colour, this is decently pigmented and I love using it to highlight the eye area.

Topshop cream blush in Afternoon Tea

Half of my love for this product is probably due to the adorable cookie packaging. I love how this cream blush is the first to not leave a sticky feeling on my cheeks. It's a cool-toned light pink that has a highlight
to it. But for some reason, I always forget to apply cream blushes. Is that just me?

Maybelline Baby Lips in Energizing Orange

I absolutely love the baby lips. They're very moisturising and soft in my opinion. My favorite scent is Mango Pie but this one is alright. I'm slowly working my way through all of the scents >:)

Maybelline Watershine Pure lipstick in B24

Just one of those very wearable, everyday neutral pinks that I think you can never have too many of ;) It's quite glossy and moisturising. It doesn't have the greatest lasting power but I don't mind too much. Unfortunately, this line is only carried in the Asia region.

The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing Serum

This is an old favorite. It's a serum that I apply after I wash my hair and it makes my hair feeling soft and tangle-free the next day. I've been using this for years and it still hasn't run out o_o

Thanks for reading as always!

xoxo,

Sheri

P.S. What do you think of my new blog banner? Thanks Alex <3

  1. Lurvely faves! I really like that Australis powder too, and haha about the legality. Some people would be shocked at how old some of the products I'm using are.. o_O I find the metals range way creamier than the originals too, I'm really liking Inked in Pink.

  3. I totally know what you mean! The original Color Tattoos are awful. Why can't they all feel like the ones in the Metal collection?

  10. Sheri, I don't mean to offend you or anything but you made me giggle! You used the word "illuminance" and out of curiosity I Googled the definition of the word. Apparently it means "The amount of luminous flux per unit area". There were some very physics-related description. Unless this was intentional? :)

    1. Oh gosh haha, I totally meant luminance! I didn't even realize >.< Although the physics definition could work too ;) Haha I dropped physics so I definitely had no idea that's what it meant.
