sorry, lighting was terrible that day |
First up, I've been trying a new moisturizer (my previous Neutrogena one which I loved FINALLY finished up). It's the Clean & Clear essentials moisturizer with SPF 15.
This is a great everyday moisturizer as it is light on the skin, not too greasy but yet it still has a thicker consistency so it doesn't completely disappear and act as if you haven't put anything on. It does the job of providing hydration under my makeup and contains salicylic acid, so I trust it won't break me out!
Next, is a product that I've been using as a foundation/concealer. It's the oh-so-popular Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles.
Yes I know, the packaging looks quite messed up. I bought a defective one that wouldn't twist any product out so my extreme laziness has led to me using it straight out of the tube as a foundation, instead of simply exchanging it for another one.
This has great coverage and a matte finish so I find it a bit too drying at times for my under-eyes so I use it as an all-over face foundation or a spot concealer. And it works great! It's also a great concealer for those pesky zits because it doesn't seem to irritate them.
The standout cheek product of the month has been the Essence Me & My Ice-cream blush in Ice Bomb.
I LOVE this cream blush. The colour is gorgeous - a pinky-coral which is pigmented and adds a lovely glow to the face. The dome shape of this blush makes the texture of it a bit foamy, which reminds me of the Maybelline Dream bouncy blushes.
I've been loving using the EOS lip balm in Summerfruit every morning for some quick hydration.
I love EOS lip balms for their scents and aesthetic appeal (because I'm a sucker for packaging). They're just average in terms of hydration but I love the smell of this one and of course, it's adorable so it's always a fun time when you're applying it :3
And on top of the lip balm, I've been applying the Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya.
I did a full review on this with swatches (link above). I love the Revlon lip butters, and this is a great everyday, peachy-pink shade that's creamy with no shimmers. I think it'll look flattering on a lot of skintones, especially fairer skin.
It's so tempting to expand my collection whenever Priceline has BOGOF but I'm trying to save up *sighs* #makeupaddictproblems
I feel like my monthly favorite posts are always a bit bland to read but thanks for reading anyway ^_^
xoxo,
Sheri
Ooo, I really want to try that Revlon lip butter shade! *u* It looks really nice and wearable.
ReplyDeleteYes it is! :)
DeleteYou just reminded me that it's the end of September already! Too fast! Your favourites are really interesting to me because I haven't tried any of them, except for the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer which is one of my favourite concealers :)
ReplyDeleteYes, many people seem to like it! Thanks so much for reading :)
DeleteI actually cannot wait for Christmas as it means it's almost the new year.
ReplyDeleteOh and I STILL need to get my hands on Juicy Papaya!
NIce faves! I haven't tried any Essence make up products. So affordable, I don't know why I haven't tried them!

wow, I'm actually not surprised that two of my favourites have landed in your top 5.
ReplyDeleteLOVING the Essence blush and Revlon's Juicy Papaya!
I really want to try the EOS lipbalms just because of their unique packaging, I love how it's in a sphere :) I wanted to nab Juicy Papaya but I refrained as I have too many lipsticks I don't use :( it's such a great shade for spring and summer though!
ReplyDeleteGreat favourites in there! That blush looks absolutely adorable! xx
