THE "NO MAKEUP" LOOK
Introducing the "oh I look fabulous even without makeup, just kidding I'm wearing some" look. Or put simply, the classic "no makeup" look that people seem to love. Well, FUNNY STORY, this whole look actually took more effort (and products) than you would think. Buuut, I can look past that because this makeup just makes my skin look really good. Yeah if I wasn't half-sloth/half-potato, I could really get used to doing this on an everyday basis. I love how polished and fresh it looks and hopefully you agree.
I have no right to complain about my eye-bags when I deliberately stay up late phone-scrolling in bed. Anyways, I used the Bare Minerals Well-rested Face and Eye Brightener* under my eyes and really, the name gives it away. It's a creamy, pearly pink, and works really well at counteracting the purplish hues of LE PANDA EYES. But it's not overly pink that it looks odd on my asian skintone, which some 'colour correctors' tend to do.
Rosy cheeks can look cute on a baby but on me? Ehhh not so much (seriously, they are red ALL. THE. TIME.) The brightener paired with my trusty NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer means everything is all brightened and covered up. Excellent.
Despite having dry skin, I ALWAYS set with powder so that my makeup doesn't do a vanishing act on me. And GUYS, can we hold up for just one second? The Becca Perfect Skin Mineral Powder Foundation* in Shell is actually amazing. Like dude, my skin has never looked THIS flawless. Is this thing made of fine unicorn hair??
I seldom do up-close shots of my face (because usually my foundation looks disgusting and like a broken jigsaw puzzle) but if you noticed, I took one this time because my skin actually looked good for once. Sheri is a happy chappy. It makes me so happy that I've started talking in third person ugh.
A step I LOVE doing is highlighting my inner corners. I used the NYX Jumbo Pencil in Cottage Cheese which works a treat at making my eyes appear less sunken in (which is what wearing glasses tends to do). To finish off the lips, the Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Syrah* was paler than I expected, but HEY, I'VE GOT GROUND-BREAKING NEWS FOR YA. I think I've found a nude shade that I quite like??? *sound of trumpets* It's a nude peachy shade, and it gives that natural hint of something.
The star products of this look (the Bare Minerals brightener, Becca Powder and Bite lip pencil) are from RY, an online Australian store which sells a ton of amazing brands that I had no idea you could even get ahold of here! eg. Alpha-H, Clarins, Paul Mitchell etc. *heart-eyed emoji*
Service was amazing, and shipping was speedy within 5 working days with tracking and samples! Would definitely recommend them.
