Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation [Review]

Unfortunately, due to hormones, sensitive skin and trialing numerous beauty products, my skin is far from perfect. Thus, foundation is one of my absolute makeup essentials so I'm always on the hunt for a good foundation that will flawlessly cover up my problem areas.

I've previously reviewed a couple of Arbonne's makeup products before (a primer, blush and lipstick) and was quite impressed, and the Arbonne Makeup Primer is still one of my favourites. So I had high hopes when I had the opportunity to try the Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation.

Once again, I love Arbonne's packaging. It comes in a sturdy plastic bottle and it has a PUMP. Sounds good so far.
It doesn't have much of a scent, and the consistency is neither thick or runny. It spreads out really easily on the skin and blends out seamlessly.

I have this foundation in the shade Fair, which I picked by looking at swatches from other blogs.
This is one of the reasons why I'm really pleased with this foundation. This is probably the BEST-MATCHING foundation I've ever tried.

Having a fair, yellow complexion, it's hard to find foundations that match, as the lightest shades of foundations are usually pink-based. This foundation in Fair can completely blend into the rest of my face. It's not too yellow and it looks flawless, simply due to the awesome colour match. If you have around NC15 skin tone, this would match you well.

As for the coverage, I'm in love with the medium coverage this offers. It's what I look for in a foundation as it means I can layer it to achieve flawless, full coverage. It does a good job in hiding my imperfections and acne scarring. It has a satin finish which I really like, as I'm getting over the completely matte look.

The only downside to this product is that it can emphasize dry patches on the skin. When my skin was recovering from its pimple party few weeks ago, the foundation clung a bit to the peeling skin and looked a bit patchy at the end of the day. However, it did do a good job of lasting till 6 hours before it started looking less than perfect.

Did this foundation break me out?   No!

Overall, this has become my go-to foundation. The great shade match, lovely coverage and no break-out factor has made me fall in love with this foundation. I think it is a great foundation to try from the brand. (And it has SPF 15) Unfortunately, the price tag would make me consider before purchasing it in the future.

Available for purchase at AUD$56.

  2. Pretty packaging! And the coverage looks so good - sort of like Covergirl 3-in-1 from what I gather. Unfortunately, that is a hefty price tag.

    1. Yes it is reminiscent of that actually. And I know right :( But if I were to buy a high-end foundation, I would love this.

  3. Wow! That is a steeeeep price tag! But since you do have very sensitive I guess it would be worth it in many senses! It does match you perfectly in terms of color!

  4. I love the packaging of this foundation - but the price tag does put me off a little. I could buy (online) a NARS/Georgio Armani foundation at that price! But I'm glad to hear you've enjoyed using it :)
