I am not the biggest lipgloss fan. You can probably guess why.
I despise the sticky feeling you get whenever you push your lips together and I also hate having a gust of wind blow a strand of hair onto your sticky gloss and it stays there.
Today I'll be showcasing a gloss I've surprisingly been liking lately:
Napoleon Perdis Luminous Lip Veil
in Pretty in Peach
I received this product from RY Australia. It stands for 'Recreate Yourself' and this Australian website sells pretty much everything, including makeup and skincare. They also offer great brands that many of us have heard of such as Benefit, Dermalogica, Becca, Young Blood etc.
Firstly, I love the packaging, it's so luxurious and looks expensive! Indeed, Napoleon Perdis is on the pricier side. This gloss retails from $20-30.
I received the shade Pretty in Peach.
The applicator isn't a doe-foot applicator but a brush tip.
Like the name suggests, it's a gorgeous peachy-pink shade that isn't super opaque, but it isn't completely sheer either.
The formula of this gloss is lovely. It's not sticky at all and feels smooth on the lips.
It's creamy without too much shimmer, which I like. Shimmery glosses are a bit overpowering sometimes.
The staying power of this gloss is average. Every gloss I've tried so far hasn't lasted more than 2-3 hours before needing to be re-applied.
Bare Lips
With Pretty in Peach
As you can see, this shade is very natural and it makes my lips look so much better. It also gives a nice shine.
Another thing. This gloss smells like LYCHEES. (At least I think it's lychees. Either way, it smells so good.)
Overall, I really do like this lipgloss because it's not sticky, a lovely natural everyday shade and it smells yummy.
You can check out the Napoleon Perdis Luminous Lip Veil here.
Definitely check out RY Australia for brands we hear so much about in the blogging/Youtube community and it's always nice to support an Australian company!
xoxo,
Sheri
P.S. Don't forget my International MAC giveaway is still going on!
This product was kindly provided for consideration, however this does not affect my opinion and my reviews are 100% honest.
Love the colour of the gloss on you. I've never tried a NP gloss because like you I'm not a huge fan of glosses so I always steer clear but I like this colour :)

Such a pretty color. I'm not a fan of lip glosses either for the same reasons.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I also steer clear of glosses these days... I feel like I'm a bit too old for them haha! But this one is really lovely, suitable for anybody!

ReplyDeleteLove the colour, it's really pretty! (I'm not a fan of sticky glosses either, but I have found some that don't have such a gross feel!)

Lychees! WOW, I must smell this lip gloss! The colour looks fab and any lip gloss that isn't sticky is a winner in my books.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a nice colour :)

I'm not a lipgloss fan either but I'm glad it works for you!
ReplyDeleteI hope it's okay to do this, but I recently updated my make up blog sale with a ton of new make up and lower prices and (hopefully) better pictures. Most items are brand new and I'm shipping from Sydney.
Some brands include: Urban Decay, theBalm, Le Metier de Beaute, NARS, Addiction, Shu Uemura, MAC, elf, NYX, Korean brands, Japanese brands, Rae Morris and more! Please take a look! http://sites.google.com/site/muablogsalebroken/
Beautiful soft pink colour! I've never used a NP lipgloss but have quite a few of his other products and they're really great quality. And I love a product that smells great!
ReplyDeleteI love the colour, looks so pretty x

Oh how I dislike the stickiness and tacky gloss look of lip glosses, however some formulas are can do it just right! This is such a demure pink and it does make your lips look really nice. Lychees? Now I want to smell it haha! I think I prefer doe foot applicators to a brush though for glosses :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, I prefer doe foot! :)
DeleteI feel the exact same about glosses and their stickiness - but I do love how they look on the lips! Looks lovely on you! Your lips look so cute - is that weird for me to say, haha.
ReplyDeleteHaha thanks Alice! I think my lips are unproportional to each other xD
DeleteWow. This lipgloss look so good on you~~ I love how it makes the lips look so healthy and plump.
